TY - GEN N2 - In January 2006, youth offender Martin Lee Anderson entered the Bay County Boot Camp in Florida. Eighteen hours later he was dead after becoming fatigued from a run and being physically coerced by seven prison guards to continue despite his obvious distress. The guards were never convicted of anything, despite a videotape of the incident that seems to point otherwise. However, the Florida Dept. of Juvenile Justice did settle a wrongful death lawsuit with Anderson's parents. The film looks at the intersection of race, class and the juvenile justice system, and whether if you're Black and poor, is there any justice?
