It discusses the concepts and theories of mathematics-related affect along the lines of three dimensions. The first dimension identifies three broad categories of affect: motivation, emotions, and beliefs. The book contains one chapter on motivation, including discussions on how emotions and beliefs relate to motivation. There are two chapters that focus on beliefs and a chapter on attitude which cross-cuts through all these categories. The second dimension covers a rapidly fluctuating state to a more stable trait. All chapters in the book focus on trait-type affect and the chapter on motivation discusses both these dimensions. The third dimension regards the three main levels of theorizing: physiological (embodied), psychological (individual) and social. All chapters reflect that mathematics-related affect has mainly been studied using psychological theories. 001358219 546__ $$aEnglish. 001358219 650_0 $$aEducation. 001358219 650_0 $$aMathematics$$xStudy and teaching. 001358219 650_0 $$aEducational psychology. 001358219 655_0 $$aElectronic books 001358219 7001_ $$aDi Martino, Pietro,$$eauthor. 001358219 7001_ $$aPantziara, Marilena,$$eauthor. 001358219 7001_ $$aZhang, Qiaoping,$$eauthor. 001358219 7001_ $$aMorselli, Francesca,$$eauthor. 001358219 7001_ $$aHeyd-Metzuyanim, Einat,$$eauthor. 001358219 7001_ $$aLutovac, Sonja,$$eauthor. 001358219 7001_ $$aKaasila, Raimo,$$eauthor. 001358219 7001_ $$aMiddleton, James A.,$$eauthor. 001358219 7001_ $$aJansen, Amanda,$$eauthor. 001358219 7001_ $$aGoldin, Gerald A.,$$eauthor. 001358219 7102_ $$aÉcole nationale supérieure des beaux-arts (France) 001358219 77608 $$iPrint version: $$z9783319328102 001358219 830_0 $$aICME-13 Topical Surveys.$$x2366-5947 001358219 852__ $$bebk 001358219 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-319-32811-9$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001358219 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1358219$$pGLOBAL_SET 001358219 980__ $$aBIB 001358219 980__ $$aEBOOK 001358219 982__ $$aEbook 001358219 983__ $$aOnline 001358219 994__ $$a92$$bISE
