We've all seen the pictures: a six-year-old Ruby Bridges being escorted by U.S. marshals on her first day at an all-white, New Orleans school in 1960; a police dog attacking a demonstrator in Birmingham; fire hoses turned on protesters; Martin Luther King Jr. addressing a crowd on the National Mall. These pictures were printed in papers, flashed across television screens, and helped to change the laws of this nation, but not necessarily all of the attitudes. Similarly, we've seen the pictures of Michael Brown lying face down in a pool of his own blood for hours; protesters with their hands up, facing down militarized policemen. There are videos of Eric Garner choked to death, John Crawford III shot down in Walmart for carrying a toy gun, and 12-year-old Tamir Rice gunned down in broad daylight for the same reason. APB: Artists Against Police Brutality is a benefit comic book anthology that focuses on hot-button issues including police brutality, the justice system, and civil rights, with one primary goal: show pictures and tell stories that get people talking. The proceeds will go to the Innocence Project, an organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted people. 001404964 650_0 $$aPolice brutality$$zUnited States$$vComic books, strips, etc. 001404964 650_6 $$aBrutalités policières$$0(CaQQLa)201-0247375$$zÉtats-Unis$$0(CaQQLa)201-0407727$$vBandes dessinées.$$0(CaQQLa)201-0378048 001404964 650_7 $$aPolice brutality.$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01068571 001404964 650_7 $$aPolice brutality$$zUnited States$$vComic books, strips, etc.$$2sears 001404964 651_7 $$aUnited States.$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01204155 001404964 655_2 $$aGraphic Novel$$0(DNLM)D000068036 001404964 65504 $$aPolitical comics$$zU.S.A.$$y2015. 001404964 65507 $$aAnthology comics (documents)$$2aat 001404964 655_7 $$agraphic novels.$$2aat$$0(CStmoGRI)aatgf300265568 001404964 655_7 $$aComics (Graphic works)$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01921613 001404964 655_7 $$aGraphic novels.$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01726630 001404964 655_7 $$aNonfiction comics$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01921721 001404964 655_7 $$aComic books, strips, etc.$$2gsafd 001404964 655_7 $$aGraphic novels.$$2lcgft 001404964 655_7 $$aComics (Graphic works)$$2lcgft 001404964 655_7 $$aRomans graphiques.$$2rvmgf$$0(CaQQLa)RVMGF-000000412 001404964 655_7 $$aBandes dessinées.$$2rvmgf$$0(CaQQLa)RVMGF-000000295 001404964 7001_ $$aCampbell, Bill,$$d1970-$$eeditor. 001404964 7001_ $$aRodriguez, Jason$$c(Comic book author),$$eeditor. 001404964 7001_ $$aJennings, John,$$d1970-$$eeditor. 001404964 852__ $$bgen 001404964 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1404964$$pGLOBAL_SET 001404964 980__ $$aBIB 001404964 980__ $$aBOOK
