Summary
Imprisoned during the East German regime in Gefängnis Brandenburg, Martin Schulz is released 11 years later, in 2000, into a new outside world that the former East German citizen only knew from television. He attempts to adjust to life in unified Berlin. He meets old friends and his wife -- who now lives with his son, whom he has never met, and another man.
