How did foreign merchant networks and trans-national communities of Macau and Marseille operate during the eighteenth century and contribute to somehow transfer respectively European and Chinese socio-cultural habits and forms in local population? What was the degree and channels of consumption of European goods in China and Chinese goods in Europe? Through these questions the book explores the bilateral Sino-European trade relations and considers how the trans-national dimension of exotic commodities changed tastes by creating a new type of global consumerism. 001430880 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from digital title page (viewed on January 07, 2021). 001430880 651_0 $$aChina$$xEconomic conditions$$y1644-1912. 001430880 651_0 $$aChina$$xForeign economic relations. 001430880 651_0 $$aChina$$xHistory$$yQing dynasty, 1644-1912. 001430880 651_0 $$aChina$$xEconomic conditions$$y2000- 001430880 651_0 $$aSpain$$xEconomic conditions$$y17th century. 001430880 651_0 $$aSpain$$xEconomic conditions$$y18th century. 001430880 651_0 $$aSpain$$xForeign economic relations. 001430880 651_0 $$aSpain$$xHistory$$yBourbons, 1700- 001430880 651_6 $$aChine$$xConditions économiques$$y1644-1912. 001430880 651_6 $$aChine$$xHistoire$$y1644-1912 (Dynastie mandchoue) 001430880 651_6 $$aChine$$xConditions économiques$$y2000- 001430880 651_6 $$aEspagne$$xConditions économiques$$y17e siècle. 001430880 651_6 $$aEspagne$$xConditions économiques$$y18e siècle. 001430880 651_6 $$aEspagne$$xHistoire$$y1700- (Bourbons) 001430880 655_7 $$aHistory.$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01411628 001430880 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001430880 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aPérez-García, Manuel, 1979-$$tGlobal History with Chinese Characteristics.$$dSingapore : Palgrave, 2021$$z9811578648$$z9789811578649$$w(OCoLC)1176321114 001430880 830_0 $$aPalgrave studies in comparative global history. 001430880 852__ $$bebk 001430880 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-981-15-7865-6$$zOnline Access$$91397441.2 001430880 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1430880$$pGLOBAL_SET 001430880 980__ $$aBIB 001430880 980__ $$aEBOOK 001430880 982__ $$aEbook 001430880 983__ $$aOnline 001430880 994__ $$a92$$bISE
