The authors address the questions of which behaviors are of climate relevance, who is engaging in these behaviors, in which contexts do these behaviors occur, and which individual perceptions and values are related to them. Utilizing survey research, the book focuses on the measurement of climate-relevant behaviors with population surveys and develops an instrument that allows a valid estimate of an individuals GHG emissions with a few core items. While the development of these instruments was based on surveys and qualitative interviews conducted in Austria, the instruments were subsequently tested in a set of 31 European countries, revealing the international relevance of such research. The book also concludes with a brief consideration of the effects of the COVID-19 crisis on environmental attitudes, situating the project globally. 001431193 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001431193 650_0 $$aClimatic changes$$xEffect of human beings on$$xResearch. 001431193 650_0 $$aHuman behavior. 001431193 650_0 $$aEnvironmental sociology. 001431193 650_6 $$aClimat$$xChangements$$xEffets de l'homme sur$$xRecherche. 001431193 650_6 $$aComportement humain. 001431193 650_6 $$aSociologie de l'environnement. 001431193 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001431193 7001_ $$aKlösch, Beate,$$eauthor. 001431193 7001_ $$aSchwarzinger, Stephan,$$eauthor. 001431193 7001_ $$aSchweighart, Markus,$$eauthor. 001431193 7001_ $$aWardana, Rebecca,$$eauthor. 001431193 7001_ $$aBird, David Neil,$$eauthor. 001431193 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aHadler, Markus.$$tSurveying climate-relevant behavior.$$dCham : Palgrave Macmillan, [2021]$$z9783030857950$$w(OCoLC)1272884472 001431193 830_0 $$aPalgrave pivot. 001431193 852__ $$bebk 001431193 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-030-85796-7$$zOnline Access$$91397441.2 001431193 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1431193$$pGLOBAL_SET 001431193 980__ $$aBIB 001431193 980__ $$aEBOOK 001431193 982__ $$aEbook 001431193 983__ $$aOnline 001431193 994__ $$a92$$bISE
