This is shown in twelve case studies that focus on decisive moments in European and US history from 1800 until today. Each case study clarifies how emotions were central to peoples political engagement and its effects. The sources range from parliamentary buildings and social movements, to images and speeches of presidents, from fascist cemeteries to the International Criminal Court. Both the timeframe and the geographical focus have been chosen to highlight the increasingly participatory character of nineteenth- and twentieth-century politics, which is inconceivable without the work of emotions. . 001431344 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001431344 650_0 $$aEmotions$$xPolitical aspects$$zEurope$$xHistory$$y19th century$$vCase studies. 001431344 650_0 $$aEmotions$$xPolitical aspects$$zUnited States$$xHistory$$y19th century$$vCase studies. 001431344 650_0 $$aEmotions$$xPolitical aspects$$zEurope$$xHistory$$y20th century$$vCase studies. 001431344 650_0 $$aEmotions$$xPolitical aspects$$zUnited States$$xHistory$$y20th century$$vCase studies. 001431344 655_7 $$aCase studies.$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01423765 001431344 655_7 $$aHistory.$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01411628 001431344 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001431344 7001_ $$aPahl, Kerstin Maria,$$eauthor. 001431344 7001_ $$aBuscemi, Francesco,$$eauthor. 001431344 7001_ $$aNielsen, Philipp,$$eauthor. 001431344 7001_ $$aArndt, Agnes,$$eauthor. 001431344 7001_ $$aAmico, Michael$$q(Michael J.),$$eauthor. 001431344 7001_ $$aLichau, Karsten,$$eauthor. 001431344 7001_ $$aMalone, Hannah,$$eauthor. 001431344 7001_ $$aWambach, Julia,$$eauthor. 001431344 7001_ $$aBrauer, Juliane,$$d1975-$$eauthor. 001431344 7001_ $$aMoine, Caroline,$$eauthor. 001431344 77608 $$iPrint version:$$tFEELING POLITICAL.$$d[Place of publication not identified] : PALGRAVE MACMILLAN, 2021$$z3030898601$$w(OCoLC)1273076816 001431344 830_0 $$aPalgrave studies in the history of emotions. 001431344 852__ $$bebk 001431344 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-030-89858-8$$zOnline Access$$91397441.2 001431344 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1431344$$pGLOBAL_SET 001431344 980__ $$aBIB 001431344 980__ $$aEBOOK 001431344 982__ $$aEbook 001431344 983__ $$aOnline 001431344 994__ $$a92$$bISE
