It argues that the upsurge in policy transfer amongst and between these states can be explained by a structural and shared commitment between these states to a distinctive institutional ideology of policy-making. This ideology, it is claimed, is partly a product of the historical proximity of Anglosphere states, and in recent years can be traced through the evolution of New Public Management principles through to Third Way communitarianism. Tim Legrand is Associate Professor of International Studies at the University of Adelaide, Australia, adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Canberra, Australia, and adjunct Research Fellow of the National Security College at the Australia National University. He has previously held research and lecturing positions at the Australian National University and Griffith University, Queensland, Australia. His research is concerned with the transnational dimensions of public policy, with a particular concern with the networked security communities of the Anglosphere and the politics of security. He is the co-author of Banning Them, Securing Us? (with Lee Jarvis) and his research has been published in leading international journals including Public Administration, Political Studies, Review of International Studies, Security Dialogue, Policy Studies, British Politics, European Political Science, and the Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis. 001432880 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed February 17, 2021). 001432880 650_0 $$aPolitical planning$$zGreat Britain. 001432880 650_0 $$aPolitical planning$$zUnited States. 001432880 650_0 $$aPolitical planning$$zAustralia. 001432880 650_0 $$aPolitical planning$$xInternational cooperation. 001432880 650_6 $$aPolitique publique$$zGrande-Bretagne. 001432880 650_6 $$aPolitique publique$$zÉtats-Unis. 001432880 650_6 $$aPolitique publique$$zAustralie. 001432880 650_6 $$aPolitique publique$$xCoopération internationale. 001432880 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001432880 77608 $$iPrint version:$$z3030558207$$z9783030558208$$w(OCoLC)1164500124 001432880 830_0 $$aStudies in the political economy of public policy. 001432880 852__ $$bebk 001432880 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-030-55821-5$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001432880 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1432880$$pGLOBAL_SET 001432880 980__ $$aBIB 001432880 980__ $$aEBOOK 001432880 982__ $$aEbook 001432880 983__ $$aOnline 001432880 994__ $$a92$$bISE
