In most cases such relationships remain to this day; indeed, in some cases the tension has increased. In July 2019, scholars of both traditions gathered in Stuttgart, Germany, for an unprecedented conference devoted to exploring and overcoming the division between these churches. This book, the first in a two-volume set of the essays presented at the conference, explores historical and theological themes with the goal of healing memories and inspiring a direct dialogue between Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Churches. Like the conference, the volume brings together representatives of these Churches, as well as theologians from different geographical contexts where tensions are the greatest. The published essays represent the great achievements of the conference: willingness to engage in dialogue, general openness to new ideas, and opportunities to address difficult questions and heal inherited wounds. 001433673 61020 $$aOrthodox Eastern Church$$xRelations$$xCatholic Church. 001433673 61020 $$aCatholic Church$$xRelations$$xOrthodox Eastern Church. 001433673 61020 $$aOrthodox Eastern Church$$xHistory. 001433673 61020 $$aCatholic Church$$xHistory. 001433673 61026 $$aÉglise orthodoxe$$xRelations$$xÉglise catholique. 001433673 61026 $$aÉglise catholique$$xRelations$$xÉglise orthodoxe. 001433673 61026 $$aÉglise orthodoxe$$xHistoire. 001433673 61026 $$aÉglise catholique$$xHistoire. 001433673 655_7 $$aHistory.$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01411628 001433673 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001433673 7001_ $$aLatinovic, Vladimir,$$d1977- 001433673 7001_ $$aWooden, Anastacia K. 001433673 77608 $$iPrint version:$$tStolen churches or bridges to orthodoxy?$$nVolume 1, Historical and theological perspectives on the Orthodox and Eastern catholic dialogue.$$z3030554414$$z9783030554415$$w(OCoLC)1163935505 001433673 830_0 $$aPathways for ecumenical and interreligious dialogue. 001433673 852__ $$bebk 001433673 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-030-55442-2$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001433673 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1433673$$pGLOBAL_SET 001433673 980__ $$aBIB 001433673 980__ $$aEBOOK 001433673 982__ $$aEbook 001433673 983__ $$aOnline 001433673 994__ $$a92$$bISE
