And in the last fifteen years there has been a growing awareness of this theatricality. To date, though, there has not been a published stage play about either Derrida or Benjamin Cue Derrida/Benjamin, a volume that brings together two tragi-comic plays which mirror each other in a host of ways - above all, in the way that the central philosophical figure is displaced, or not quite where or when we would expect to find them. In Derrida's case, it is Oxford in 1968; in Benjamin's case, it is somewhere (or nowhere) near London in 1948. These, then, are plays in which the philosopher is exiled, or elsewhere - not quite himself. This a volume for anyone with an eye or ear for where theatre or performance meets philosophy - students, scholars, readers, actors. 001434465 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed March 11, 2021). 001434465 60010 $$aDerrida, Jacques$$vDrama. 001434465 60010 $$aBenjamin, Walter,$$d1892-1940$$vDrama. 001434465 655_7 $$aDrama.$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01423879 001434465 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001434465 7001_ $$aDalmasso, Fred,$$eauthor. 001434465 70012 $$iContainer of (work):$$aSchad, John,$$d1960-$$tDerrida. 001434465 70012 $$iContainer of (work):$$aSchad, John,$$d1960-$$tBenjamin. 001434465 70012 $$iContainer of (work):$$aDalmasso, Fred.$$tDerrida. 001434465 77608 $$iPrint version:$$z3030498069 001434465 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aSchad, John, 1960-$$tDerrida/Benjamin.$$dCham : Palgrave Macmillan, [2021]$$z9783030498061$$w(OCoLC)1233312735 001434465 852__ $$bebk 001434465 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-030-49807-8$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001434465 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1434465$$pGLOBAL_SET 001434465 980__ $$aBIB 001434465 980__ $$aEBOOK 001434465 982__ $$aEbook 001434465 983__ $$aOnline 001434465 994__ $$a92$$bISE
