The two new types of agreements came into effect in the 2010s. They not only create more favorable trade and economic conditions in these regions but also produce spillover effects to bring about more comprehensive conditions in other area. First, the quantitative research for both agreements using the CGE model and a tentative analysis of the JapanEU EPA in the analysis show that both have already created positive impacts on all three economies by lifting or reducing tariff and non-tariff barriers. Such positive impacts are also expected to be felt by SMEs in these countries that are involved. Additionally, the high level of tariff and non-tariff liberalization in the two current agreements will make positive impacts on the negotiation of other FTAs and on WTO reform. The advantages of the FTA and EPA dealt with in this book are not restricted to these economic effects. As the agreements are comprehensive, they will create more favorable social conditions not only in these economic regions but in other areas of Asia as well. 001434516 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed March 29, 2021). 001434516 650_0 $$aFree trade$$zEuropean Union countries. 001434516 650_6 $$aLibre-échange$$zPays de l'Union européenne. 001434516 651_0 $$aEuropean Union countries$$xForeign economic relations$$zKorea (South) 001434516 651_0 $$aEuropean Union countries$$xForeign economic relations$$zJapan. 001434516 651_0 $$aKorea (South)$$xForeign economic relations$$zEuropean Union countries. 001434516 651_0 $$aJapan$$xForeign economic relations$$zEuropean Union countries. 001434516 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001434516 7001_ $$aYoshii, Masahiko,$$d1958-$$eeditor. 001434516 7001_ $$aYi, Chae-Deug,$$eeditor. 001434516 77608 $$iPrint version:$$z9813361441$$z9789813361447$$w(OCoLC)1222895444 001434516 830_0 $$aKobe University monograph series in social science research. 001434516 852__ $$bebk 001434516 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-981-33-6145-4$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001434516 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1434516$$pGLOBAL_SET 001434516 980__ $$aBIB 001434516 980__ $$aEBOOK 001434516 982__ $$aEbook 001434516 983__ $$aOnline 001434516 994__ $$a92$$bISE
