By researching the objects, images, and spaces, it demonstrates how these women expressed and displayed their power. Queens used material culture and space not only to demonstrate their own power to a wide, international audience, but also to consolidate their own position when it was weakened by external circumstances. Both the public and private image of the queen factors significantly in understanding in her own role at the strongly centralized Hungarian court, and, moreover, how her position and person strengthened and complemented that of the king. 001436143 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001436143 650_0 $$aQueens$$zHungary$$xHistory. 001436143 650_0 $$aPower (Social sciences) 001436143 650_0 $$aMaterial culture$$zHungary$$xHistory$$yTo 1500. 001436143 650_6 $$aReines$$zHongrie$$xHistoire. 001436143 650_6 $$aPouvoir (Sciences sociales) 001436143 651_0 $$aHungary$$xHistory$$y1000-1699. 001436143 651_0 $$aHungary$$xAntiquities. 001436143 651_6 $$aHongrie$$xHistoire$$y1000-1699. 001436143 655_7 $$aHistory.$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01411628 001436143 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001436143 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aMielke, Christopher.$$tArchaeology and material culture of queenship in medieval Hungary, 1000-1395.$$dCham : Palgrave Macmillan, 2021$$z9783030665111$$w(OCoLC)1223072137 001436143 830_0 $$aQueenship and power. 001436143 852__ $$bebk 001436143 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-030-66511-1$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001436143 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1436143$$pGLOBAL_SET 001436143 980__ $$aBIB 001436143 980__ $$aEBOOK 001436143 982__ $$aEbook 001436143 983__ $$aOnline 001436143 994__ $$a92$$bISE
