Summary This book presents a sociological study of the COVID-19 pandemic in the context of India. Historical Data Gopi Devdutt Tripathy is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology, Maitreyi College, University of Delhi. Her research interests include religion, sociological theory, popular culture, gender studies and literary texts. Anurita Jalan is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology, Maitreyi College, University of Delhi. Her areas of interest are sociology of health and medicine, gender studies, family and marriage and ethics in the everyday life of students. Mala Kapur Shankardass is a sociologist, a gerontologist and a health and development social scientist. She is also a teacher, a writer, a researcher, a consultant and an activist.
