It follows directly a previous publication on hyperbolic systems of conservation laws by the same authors. Since the earlier work concentrated on the mathematical theory of multidimensional scalar conservation laws, this book will focus on systems and the theoretical aspects which are needed in the applications, such as the solution of the Riemann problem and further insights into more sophisticated problems, with special attention to the system of gas dynamics. This new edition includes more examples such as MHD and shallow water, with an insight on multiphase flows. Additionally, the text includes source terms and well-balanced/asymptotic preserving schemes, introducing relaxation schemes and addressing problems related to resonance and discontinuous fluxes while adding details on the low Mach number situation. 001439454 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001439454 650_0 $$aGas dynamics. 001439454 650_0 $$aConservation laws (Mathematics) 001439454 650_0 $$aDifferential equations, Hyperbolic$$xNumerical solutions. 001439454 650_6 $$aDynamique des gaz. 001439454 650_6 $$aLois de conservation (Mathématiques) 001439454 650_6 $$aÉquations différentielles hyperboliques$$xSolutions numériques. 001439454 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001439454 7001_ $$aRaviart, Pierre-Arnaud,$$eauthor. 001439454 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aGodlewski, Edwige.$$tNumerical Approximation of Hyperbolic Systems of Conservation Laws.$$dNew York, NY : Springer New York, ©2021$$z9781071613429 001439454 830_0 $$aApplied mathematical sciences (Springer-Verlag New York Inc.) ;$$vv. 118. 001439454 852__ $$bebk 001439454 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-1-0716-1344-3$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001439454 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1439454$$pGLOBAL_SET 001439454 980__ $$aBIB 001439454 980__ $$aEBOOK 001439454 982__ $$aEbook 001439454 983__ $$aOnline 001439454 994__ $$a92$$bISE
