The authoritative research pioneered by the author serves as the basis for the method adopted here. This unique methodology consists of an original modelling approach, well-posedness results for the proposed models for swimmers, and a controllability theory that studies the steering potential of the proposed swimmers. A combination of this sort does not currently exist in the literature, making this an indispensable resource. Structured in five parts, the author establishes the main modeling approach in Part One. Part Two then presents the well-posedness results for these models. Parts Three through Five serve to develop a controllability theory for the swimmers, which are conceived of as artificial mechanical devices that imitate the swimming motion of fish, eels, frogs, and other aquatic creatures in nature. Several illustrative examples are provided in the last portion that serve as potential research topics. Bio-Mimetic Swimmers in Incompressible Fluids will appeal to graduate students and researchers studying fluid dynamics and control theory, as well as engineers interested in these areas. 001440628 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed November 12, 2021). 001440628 650_0 $$aFluid mechanics$$xMathematical models. 001440628 650_0 $$aBiomimetic materials. 001440628 650_6 $$aMécanique des fluides$$xModèles mathématiques. 001440628 650_6 $$aMatériaux biomimétiques. 001440628 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001440628 77608 $$iPrint version: $$z3030852849$$z9783030852849$$w(OCoLC)1260664683 001440628 830_0 $$aAdvances in mathematical fluid mechanics.$$pLecture notes in mathematical fluid mechanics.$$x2510-1382 001440628 852__ $$bebk 001440628 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-030-85285-6$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001440628 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1440628$$pGLOBAL_SET 001440628 980__ $$aBIB 001440628 980__ $$aEBOOK 001440628 982__ $$aEbook 001440628 983__ $$aOnline 001440628 994__ $$a92$$bISE
