Summary
Coaches encounter a range of situations in their professional practice that they experience as difficult. The challenges have different sources. They can come from the coaches themselves, the coachees or the commissioning organization. But how do these situations present themselves in detail? How can coaches understand them and respond appropriately? Using real case studies collected online, this book takes a closer look at difficult situations. In doing so, renowned coaches present for discussion their theoretical and methodological perspectives and their recommendations for action. This book is a translation of the original German 1st edition Schwierige Situationen im Business-Coaching by Heidi Möller and Jannik Zimmermann, published by Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden GmbH, part of Springer Nature in 2020. The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence (machine translation by the service DeepL.com). A subsequent human revision was done primarily in terms of content, so that the book will read stylistically differently from a conventional translation. Springer Nature works continuously to further the development of tools for the production of books and on the related technologies to support the authors. The Content Kassel study on difficult situations from the coaches' perspective Examples from practice Presentation of different perspectives and suggestions for action from successful practitioners Scientifically based and practice-oriented The Target Groups coaches and coach supervisors people in further training to become a coach Human Resource managers academics and students The Authors Heidi Möller is Professor of Theory and Methodology of Counseling at the University of Kassel.
