It demonstrates how stories can provide a different way of knowing, and a way of knowing differently: a way of decolonializing current discourses of early childhood education within educational institutions. The book uses research and practice in ECE to act as a canvas, a context with which to explore how autoethnography can become other when viewed through a posthumanist lens. As a consequence the chapters and stories within allow for an interplay between the posthumanist and the autoethnographic, an interplay that allows for a very specific type of meaning to emerge; a meaning that traffics in numerous and disruptive possibilities rather than settled certainties. In so doing, authors rethink and perturb the notion of child-centered approaches to knowing, be(com)ing, and doing within the Early Childhood Education. 001444991 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001444991 650_0 $$aEarly childhood education. 001444991 650_0 $$aStorytelling in education. 001444991 650_0 $$aChildren's stories. 001444991 650_0 $$aEthnology$$xAuthorship. 001444991 650_0 $$aPosthumanism. 001444991 650_6 $$aÉducation de la première enfance. 001444991 650_6 $$aArt de conter en éducation. 001444991 650_6 $$aHistoires pour enfants. 001444991 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001444991 7001_ $$aBlyth, Carmen,$$eeditor. 001444991 7001_ $$aAslanian, Teresa K.,$$eeditor. 001444991 77608 $$iPrint version:$$tChildren and the power of stories.$$dSingapore : Springer, 2022$$z9789811692864$$w(OCoLC)1295206113 001444991 830_0 $$aChildren (Springer (Firm)) 001444991 852__ $$bebk 001444991 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-981-16-9287-1$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001444991 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1444991$$pGLOBAL_SET 001444991 980__ $$aBIB 001444991 980__ $$aEBOOK 001444991 982__ $$aEbook 001444991 983__ $$aOnline 001444991 994__ $$a92$$bISE
