Additive Manufacturing (AM) is a technology that facilitates realising products by selective placement of material in subsequent layers. It is a technology that emerged in the 1980's and has been adopted by many industries for prototyping and the realisation of special or individualised products, which cannot be made by use of common production processes or benefit economically by the use of AM. The research shows a broad overview of AM for clay. It describes the evolution of brickmaking, how clay building products can benefit from an AM process, which production process could meet the defined demands regarding the final product, and which characteristics the printed clay products have. Dennis de Witte studied Building Technology at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at the Delft University of Technology. Afterwards he worked as a research assistant under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Knaack at the TU Darmstadt. . 001445701 546__ $$aAbstracts in English, German and Dutch. 001445701 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed April 6, 2022). 001445701 650_0 $$aBrickmaking$$xTechnological innovations. 001445701 650_0 $$aBrickwork. 001445701 650_0 $$aAdditive manufacturing. 001445701 650_6 $$aBriques$$xFabrication$$xInnovations. 001445701 650_6 $$aBriquetages. 001445701 650_6 $$aFabrication additive. 001445701 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001445701 77608 $$iPrint version:$$z3658371609$$z9783658371609$$w(OCoLC)1301905808 001445701 830_0 $$aMechanik, werkstoffe und konstruktion im bauwesen ;$$vBd. 62. 001445701 852__ $$bebk 001445701 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-658-37161-6$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001445701 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1445701$$pGLOBAL_SET 001445701 980__ $$aBIB 001445701 980__ $$aEBOOK 001445701 982__ $$aEbook 001445701 983__ $$aOnline 001445701 994__ $$a92$$bISE
