China's unique domestic politics has developed distinct characteristics for its AI approach. By analysing national strategy, security and governance aspects of AI in China, this book argues that China's AI approach is sophisticated and multifaceted, and it has brought about both considerable benefits and challenges to China. The book suggests that a more accurate understanding of AI with Chinese characteristics is essential in order to inform the debate regarding what lessons can be learnt from China⁰́₉s AI approach and how to respond to China's rise as the AI leader, if not superpower. Jinghan Zeng is Professor of China and International Studies at Lancaster University. His research focuses on China⁰́₉s domestic and international politics. He is the author of Slogan Politics: Understanding Chinese Foreign Policy Concepts (2020) and The Chinese Communist Party's Capacity to Rule: Ideology, Legitimacy and Party Cohesion (2015). He is also the co-editor of One Belt, One Road, One Story?: Towards an EU-China Strategic Narrative (2021). 001445788 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001445788 650_0 $$aArtificial intelligence. 001445788 650_0 $$aArtificial intelligence$$xPolitical aspects$$zChina. 001445788 650_0 $$aArtificial intelligence$$xEconomic aspects$$zChina. 001445788 650_6 $$aIntelligence artificielle. 001445788 650_6 $$aIntelligence artificielle$$xAspect politique$$zChine. 001445788 650_6 $$aIntelligence artificielle$$xAspect économique$$zChine. 001445788 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001445788 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aZeng, Jinghan, 1987- author.$$tArtificial intelligence with Chinese characteristics$$z9789811907210$$w(OCoLC)1308474219 001445788 852__ $$bebk 001445788 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-981-19-0722-7$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001445788 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1445788$$pGLOBAL_SET 001445788 980__ $$aBIB 001445788 980__ $$aEBOOK 001445788 982__ $$aEbook 001445788 983__ $$aOnline 001445788 994__ $$a92$$bISE
