Over the last decades, issues in ethical leadership have become central to the global call for higher moral standards on the part of corporate organisations and their leaders and managers. The book⁰́₉s chapters investigate these concerns in Africa, where governance gaps often reflect poor leadership. Parenthetically, in 2001, a UNDP report found difficulties in applying anti-corruption laws and managing public institutions in the continent. Twenty years on, significant efforts have been made to improve the situation, yet extensive challenges still subsist. In this first volume, contributors discuss the practice of ethics, anti-corruption, and performance management, and propose solutions, some general to the continent and others country-specific. Kemi Ogunyemi is an Associate Professor. She teaches ethics, anthropology, self-leadership and sustainability at Lagos Business School. She is also the director of the Christopher Kolade Centre for Research in Leadership and Ethics and the academic director for the School's Senior Management Programme. Isaiah Adisa is a management researcher and consultant based in Nigeria. He has co-edited book(s) with several other book chapters and journal articles in recognised outlets. He is affiliated with the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, and his research interest cut across human resources management, organizational behaviour, marketing, and gender studies Professor Robert Ebo Hinson is the Deputy Vice Chancellor-Academic at the University of Kigali. He is also Visiting Professor of Marketing at the Lincoln International Business School, Professor of Marketing at the University of Ghana, and Extraordinary Professor of Marketing at the University of the Free State Business School. 001446893 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed May 25, 2022). 001446893 650_0 $$aPublic administration$$zAfrica. 001446893 650_0 $$aCorporate governance$$zAfrica. 001446893 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001446893 7001_ $$aOgunyemi, Kemi,$$eeditor. 001446893 7001_ $$aAdisa, Isaiah,$$eeditor. 001446893 7001_ $$aHinson, Robert$$q(Robert Ebo),$$eeditor. 001446893 77608 $$iPrint version:$$z3030953939$$z9783030953935$$w(OCoLC)1290015947 001446893 830_0 $$aPalgrave studies of public sector management in Africa.$$x2730-6127 001446893 852__ $$bebk 001446893 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-030-95394-2$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001446893 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1446893$$pGLOBAL_SET 001446893 980__ $$aBIB 001446893 980__ $$aEBOOK 001446893 982__ $$aEbook 001446893 983__ $$aOnline 001446893 994__ $$a92$$bISE
