They and their families were exempt from deportation for a long time, but were eventually deported to Bergen-Belsen. In the end, almost all of the men perished, and the women barely survived slave-labour. Their children were left to die in the camp, but were miraculously saved by the intervention of a Jewish Polish woman, ⁰́₈nurse Luba⁰́₉. The main sources on which this book is based are video testimonies of the surviving members of this group, personal interviews, minutes of interviews taken down in shorthand shortly after the war, and personal documents such as letters, archival documents, and autobiographical books. 001448729 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed August 17, 2022). 001448729 61020 $$aBergen-Belsen (Concentration camp)$$1https://isni.org/isni/0000000123700120 001448729 647_7 $$aJewish Holocaust$$d(1939-1945)$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst00958866 001448729 650_0 $$aJewish children in the Holocaust$$zNetherlands$$zAmsterdam. 001448729 650_0 $$aHolocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)$$zNetherlands. 001448729 650_0 $$aDiamond industry and trade$$zNetherlands$$zAmsterdam. 001448729 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001448729 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aSiertsema, Bettine.$$tRescue of Belsen's diamond children.$$dBasingstoke : Palgrave Macmillan, 2022$$z9783030977061$$w(OCoLC)1332951408 001448729 830_0 $$aHolocaust and its contexts.$$x2731-572X 001448729 852__ $$bebk 001448729 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-030-97707-8$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001448729 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1448729$$pGLOBAL_SET 001448729 980__ $$aBIB 001448729 980__ $$aEBOOK 001448729 982__ $$aEbook 001448729 983__ $$aOnline 001448729 994__ $$a92$$bISE
