Based on an interdisciplinary approach and scrutinizing transnational flows of people, resources and ideas, the analysis brings together themes and spaces that have been disconnected in previous scholarship. It sheds light on the integration of feminist resources into contemporary governance through complex entanglements of international aid to democratization, "activism beyond borders" and systemic transformation of higher education. The book will be of interest to researchers and students of sociology, political science, gender studies, and East-European studies. Ioana Cirstocea is a Sociologist at the French National Centre for Scientific Research, CNRS, and a member of the European Centre for Sociology and Political Science, CESSP, Paris, France. Her research focuses on intellectual spaces and actors in Eastern Europe and on the production, circulation and usages of feminist knowledge in (post)-Cold War settings. 001449835 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001449835 647_7 $$aCold War$$d(1945-1989)$$2fast$$0(OCoLC)fst01754978 001449835 650_0 $$aFeminism$$zFormer Soviet republics. 001449835 650_0 $$aCold War$$xInfluence. 001449835 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001449835 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aCîrstocea, Ioana.$$tLearning gender after the Cold War.$$dBasingstoke : Palgrave Macmillan, 2022$$z9783030978877$$w(OCoLC)1338666376 001449835 830_0 $$aSocio-historical studies of the social and human sciences. 001449835 852__ $$bebk 001449835 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-030-97888-4$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001449835 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1449835$$pGLOBAL_SET 001449835 980__ $$aBIB 001449835 980__ $$aEBOOK 001449835 982__ $$aEbook 001449835 983__ $$aOnline 001449835 994__ $$a92$$bISE
