Critical thinking is particularly important in bridging thinking divisions and its applicability across sciences, particularly medical sciences. We see critical thinking as educable and the arts as means to achieve this purpose. We address the multidimensional relationship between thinking and health and related mechanisms. Thinking mainly affects emotion regulation and executive function; in other words, both mental and physical health are related as a function of thoughts. Considering the thinkingfeelingemotion regulation/executive function pathway, it would be reasonable to propose thinking capacitiesbased interventions to impact emotion regulation and executive function, such as mindfulness and psychotherapy. We review decision-making taking place in integrated and social contexts and discuss the decision-making styles-decision outcomes relation. Finally, artificial thinking and intelligence prepare us for decision-making outside the human mind. 001454120 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001454120 650_0 $$aNeurosciences. 001454120 650_0 $$aBrain. 001454120 650_0 $$aDecision making. 001454120 650_0 $$aMental health. 001454120 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001454120 7001_ $$aRezaei, Nima,$$eeditor.$$1https://isni.org/isni/0000000055228652 001454120 77608 $$iPrint version:$$tBrain, decision making and mental health.$$dCham : Springer, 2022$$z9783031159589$$w(OCoLC)1346946775 001454120 830_0 $$aIntegrated science ;$$vv. 12. 001454120 852__ $$bebk 001454120 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-031-15959-6$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001454120 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1454120$$pGLOBAL_SET 001454120 980__ $$aBIB 001454120 980__ $$aEBOOK 001454120 982__ $$aEbook 001454120 983__ $$aOnline 001454120 994__ $$a92$$bISE
