The theory of global ideal-typical welfare regimes, also known as the "Ten Worlds of Welfare Regime Theory" as set forth earlier by Christian Aspalter, is now in this book tested empirically using a quantitative global data analysis for the first time. The strong and rich results fully vindicated the Ten Worlds Theory. All in all, about 150 countries are included in this test, measuring numerous variables on two main dimensions, i.e., povertization and inequality. The innovative approach of using a new indicator, Aspalters Standardized Relative Performance Index, is applied, which facilitated the exact measurements of distances between relative performances of each variable, each dimension, each country, and each ideal-typical welfare regime (in relation to one another, respectively). In addition, one explanative and one normative meta-study is added to the book, to point to ways to understand and deal with the global culprit of inequality and, hence, poverty. 001454593 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001454593 650_0 $$aSocial policy. 001454593 650_0 $$aWelfare state. 001454593 650_0 $$aWell-being. 001454593 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001454593 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aASPALTER, CHRISTIAN.$$tTEN WORLDS OF WELFARE CAPITALISM.$$d[Place of publication not identified] : SPRINGER VERLAG, SINGAPOR, 2023$$z981197862X$$w(OCoLC)1346617443 001454593 852__ $$bebk 001454593 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-981-19-7863-0$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001454593 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1454593$$pGLOBAL_SET 001454593 980__ $$aBIB 001454593 980__ $$aEBOOK 001454593 982__ $$aEbook 001454593 983__ $$aOnline 001454593 994__ $$a92$$bISE
