The author argues that Freges projects, in logic and philosophy of language, are essentially connected and that the formalist shift produced by the work of Peano, Boole and Schroeder and continued by Hilbert and Tarski is completely alien to Frege's approach in the Begriffsschrift. A central thesis of the book is that judgeable contents, i.e. propositions, are the primary bearers of logical properties, which makes logic embedded in our conceptual system. This approach allows coherent and correct definitions of logical constants, logical consequence, and truth and connects their use to the practices of rational agents in science and everyday life. 001454929 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001454929 60010 $$aFrege, Gottlob,$$d1848-1925$$1https://isni.org/isni/0000000121326294 001454929 650_0 $$aProposition (Logic) 001454929 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001454929 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aFrápolli, María José, 1960-$$tPriority of propositions.$$dCham : Springer, 2023$$z9783031252280$$w(OCoLC)1368277397 001454929 830_0 $$aSynthese library ;$$vv. 470. 001454929 852__ $$bebk 001454929 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-031-25229-7$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001454929 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1454929$$pGLOBAL_SET 001454929 980__ $$aBIB 001454929 980__ $$aEBOOK 001454929 982__ $$aEbook 001454929 983__ $$aOnline 001454929 994__ $$a92$$bISE
