The Role of Education and Research in Human and Planetary Health. 001463130 506__ $$aAccess limited to authorized users. 001463130 520__ $$aThis book contains a set of papers which explore the links among climate change, health, and hazards and demonstrate how they interact. It emphasizes the urgency of immediate and more ambitious action to address climate risks. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), human-induced climate change is known to be causing dangerous and widespread disruptions in nature and is affecting the lives of billions of people around the world, despite efforts to reduce the risks. Climate change is also negatively influencing health and is mounting threat to our wellbeing and a healthy planet. The world is also facing significant climate hazards over the next two decades, with global warming expected to soon reach 1.5°C. Even temporarily exceeding this warming level will result in additional severe impacts, some of which may be irreversible. There is therefore a perceived need for publications which may foster a greater understanding of how climate change connects to human health and the role played by hazards in this context. It is against this background that this book is being prepared. 001463130 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed April 13, 2023). 001463130 650_0 $$aHuman beings$$xEffect of climate on. 001463130 650_0 $$aEnvironmental health. 001463130 650_0 $$aMedical climatology. 001463130 650_0 $$aClimatic changes. 001463130 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001463130 7001_ $$aLeal Filho, Walter,$$eeditor.$$1https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1241-5225 001463130 7001_ $$aVidal, Diogo Guedes,$$eeditor.$$0(orcid)0000-0002-2777-2372$$1https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2777-2372 001463130 7001_ $$aAlzira Pimenta Dinis, Maria,$$eeditor.$$1https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2198-6740 001463130 77608 $$z3-031-26591-2 001463130 830_0 $$aClimate change management (Springer (Firm)),$$x1610-2010 001463130 852__ $$bebk 001463130 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-031-26592-1$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001463130 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1463130$$pGLOBAL_SET 001463130 980__ $$aBIB 001463130 980__ $$aEBOOK 001463130 982__ $$aEbook 001463130 983__ $$aOnline 001463130 994__ $$a92$$bISE
