However, the global decline of hard corals in tropical and subtropical regions is a growing concern. A recent review of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) indicated that only 10%30% of coral reefs would survive with an increase of 1.5 C in global warming temperature. Of coral reefs around the world, the coral reefs in eastern Asia face one of the most industrially developed and high population areas in the world. Thus, coral reefs of eastern Asia have been affected by various anthropogenic factors, such as eutrophication, coastal development, anthropogenic pollutants, ocean acidification, disease, and overfishing. Therefore, urgent research is required to determine the levels at which different factors will affect coral health. Besides, we propose a perspective on coral reef (especially those in eastern Asia) conservation under climate change and various anthropogenic activities. 001470050 588__ $$aDescription based on print version record. 001470050 650_0 $$aCoral declines$$zEast Asia. 001470050 650_0 $$aCoral reef ecology$$zEast Asia. 001470050 650_0 $$aCoral reefs and islands$$zEast Asia. 001470050 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001470050 7001_ $$aTakeuchi, Ichiro,$$eeditor. 001470050 7001_ $$aYamashiro, Hideyuki,$$eeditor. 001470050 77608 $$iPrint version:$$tCORAL REEFS OF EASTERN ASIA UNDER ANTHROPOGENIC IMPACTS.$$d[Place of publication not identified] : SPRINGER INTERNATIONAL PU, 2023$$z3031275594$$w(OCoLC)1369349828 001470050 830_0 $$aCoral reefs of the world ;$$vvolume 17. 001470050 852__ $$bebk 001470050 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-031-27560-9$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001470050 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1470050$$pGLOBAL_SET 001470050 980__ $$aBIB 001470050 980__ $$aEBOOK 001470050 982__ $$aEbook 001470050 983__ $$aOnline 001470050 994__ $$a92$$bISE
