The two key research questions of the report are as follows: 1) What is the efficacy and sustainability of the off-grid model of safe water availability and/or delivery to consumers who dont have piped water supply? 2) What are the key policy considerations for planning a successful off-grid model of safe water delivery? Through the Four-Domain Framework, this book does the gap analysis of the physical, operational, financial, and institutional domains of the few off-grid water operators in cross-country case studies. It also includes a detailed financial analysis of the capital costs as well as operations and maintenance costs of the different off-grid water supply models compared to some of the piped water supply models. The final discusses the need to acknowledge off-grid water solutions in urban water policies, especially for the economically weaker sections. The universal coverage of all by the piped water is an ultimate goal of any water policy; however, in the interim, there is a need to put more emphasis on off-grid water solutions. 001482317 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed October 23, 2023). 001482317 650_6 $$aEau$$xApprovisionnement$$xGestion. 001482317 650_0 $$aWater-supply$$xManagement.$$xWater-supply$$0(DLC)sh 85048624 001482317 655_0 $$aElectronic books. 001482317 7001_ $$aBiswas, Asit K.$$0(OCoLC)oca00061615 001482317 7001_ $$aTortajada, Cecilia. 001482317 7001_ $$aArora, Ojasvee. 001482317 7001_ $$aLeneveu, Eva. 001482317 7001_ $$aAdamjee, Rehan. 001482317 7001_ $$aSharma, Anuj. 001482317 77608 $$iPrint version: $$z9819940591$$z9789819940592$$w(OCoLC)1381292864 001482317 830_0 $$aSpringerBriefs on case studies of sustainable development. 001482317 852__ $$bebk 001482317 85640 $$3Springer Nature$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-981-99-4060-8$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 001482317 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1482317$$pGLOBAL_SET 001482317 980__ $$aBIB 001482317 980__ $$aEBOOK 001482317 982__ $$aEbook 001482317 983__ $$aOnline 001482317 994__ $$a92$$bISE
