For a doctorate in sacred theology, he wrote a dissertation entitled "Le Rite et le Royaume: Culte et histoire du salut selon Thomas d'Aquin" (Rite and Kingdom: The Exterior Acts of Cult [or Worship] and Salvation History according to Saint Thomas Aquinas")," composed under the direction of Fr. Anbrosius Eszer, OP, and successfully defended in 2001 at the Dominican Order's Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (the Angelicum) in Rome.
