Vernon, Indiana}, address = {2013-12-12}, number = {IR}, abstract = {Abengoa Bioenergy in Mount Vemon, Indiana, has had a problem in the past with cooling down hot non-contact water during the winter months. The objective was to design a system that will not only cool and allow the water to meet the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards, but also be cost effective. This project report we will discuss came up with three options, to cool the water using a plate and frame heat exchanger, using a tube and shell system, and the third option is to make no changes. A full economic analysis was used to determine the best option. A plate and frame heat exchanger will be the design proposed to Abengoa Bioenergy.}, url = {http://library.usi.edu/record/1492399}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.58090/usi.1492399}, }
