Houses on 600 block of Lincoln Ave across from Lincoln High School. L-R: Alfred and Phoebe Porter's house, Thomas and Pauline Cheeks house (this is 654, the one address that can be read in Google maps, and Boyd Henderson's house. These houses stand today in good condition, certainly with new tenants. The Evansville African American Museum referenced in MSS 284-118 and 119 now occupies the grassy field seen to the left here, and a street separates it rom the Porter home now.
