Description

Men laying concrete for Lincoln Gardens P.W.A. (Public Works Administration) project. Lincoln Gardens was a low income housing that no longer exists. It was one of the first federally built public housing development, dedicated by Eleanor Roosevelt in 1937. One of the Lincoln Gardens units was saved and today houses the Evansville African American Museum.
