It later housed the Economy Store, which burned in a January 2, 1951 fire that took out large portions of this block. The taller building next to it, right center, is the Hughes Building/Eichel Block. It was built in 1892, reusing a portion of the foundation of the old courthouse (the 1852 one) It, too, was damaged in the 1951 fire and partially torn down; it was razed in 1984. On the other side of the Arcade building, right, with the awning, at 328-330 Main St. is the Fendrich building. It housed different businesses over the years, the last being Walgreens. It was gutted by the fire and razed in 1951.}, url = {http://library.usi.edu/record/1511146}, }
