" Evansville Cotton Mfg. Co., West Side, Evansville, Ind. This plant on Ohio St. was built in 1875, necessitated by a demand for the business which started shortly after the Civil War. It closed in 1910 and in 1915 Mead Johnson bought the plant and incorporated it into its operation, as it remains today. It was subsumed by additions and thus would not be recognizable today.
