Description

Second German Methodist Episcopal Church and parsonage at 2214 W. Indiana St. (formerly 1114), aka Bethlehem ME. This church was founded in 1887; in 1939 it merged with Simpson Methodist and the congregation moved to 2201 W Illinois St., formerly 1101 W. Illinois St. In 1940 the building shown here was supposedly moved to 1900 N. Fulton Ave. and remodeled for another Methodist church. Today there is a Methodist church at that location, although not the one that was supposedly moving there in 1940, and the building, if it is indeed the same, so remodeled as to not be recognizable.
