Description

The Audubon Memorial Bridge is also known as Twin Bridges or Bistate Gold Star Vietnam War Memorial Bridges. They cross the Ohio River between Evansville, In and Henderson, KY. The first bridge, carrying traffic both ways, was built in 1931-1932. Another span was built in 1966, and today one carries traffic south and the other, north. Text on the back of the postcard notes that this bridge was named for "John J. Audubon, America's famous Ornithologist. This is postcard K-2.
