Crowd and Uncle Sam portrayer on the Main St. walkway near the corner with 5th St. Closed to all but pedestrian traffic in the 1960s, Main St. reopened to one way vehicular traffic in 2002. The nearest building is now called the 501 building and houses attorneys' offices. Rose Optical was at 431 Main St., and this building still stands but the business is no longer there. The tall building is Evansville's first skyscraper, the 1916 Citizens National Bank at 329-331 Main St. AKA the Hilliard Lyons building, it now houses luxury apartments.
