Indiana Stove Works Evansville, Indiana" The bulk of the advertisement is a drawing of the factory. Located at 1412 W. Illinois St. formerly 212 W. Illinois St., the building is circa 1870. The earliest city directory available for consultation, 1882, has a listing for Indiana Stove and Hollow-ware Works at this address, and lists the names of the owners( as Charles Schraeder, Jacob Fischer and J. William Boehne. The 1911 directory has the Indiana Stove Works name, with an address of 200-230 Illinois St. (The street number seems to vary between directories.) In the 1948 city directory the name of the company is given as Indiana Stove & Realty Corp. By 1955 there is no listing for the company. The building still stands and is now labeled Craddock Finishing.
