Early (original?) Waterworks plant--built in 1872. By 1895 a new location upriver from this was being contemplated and was finally put into operation around 1900. The facility shown here, which was located where (today) Riverside Dr. merges with Veterans Memorial Parkway, was razed circa 1905.
