Postcard of Main St. looking east from 1st St. On the right is Buckskin Manufacturing Co. (also retail) at 111-115 Main St., which was built in 1912. In 1929 this became the Stanley Clothing Co., and the building was razed in 1969. On the left is R & G Furniture Co. at 114-120 Main St. This building opened in July 1896 for Louis Ichenhauser and Sons, which occuped this space until R & G moved in in 1904. The name R & G refers to founders Ignace Rosenthal and Fred A. Gumberts. The building was remodeled around 1939 and the roofline flattened and the triangle removed. The company went out of business in 1967 and the building was razed shortly thereafter.
