Orpheum Theater at 323-325 Upper 1st St. opened in 1892 as the (new) People's Theatre, and was renamed the Orpheum in 1908 when it came under new ownership. It burned to the ground in 1917. NOTE: There is a sign on the post that calls for a "Zone of Quiet Crescent Sanitarium" which was located within a block of this. The streetcar is on Locust St. The entertainment listed on the signs is not legible enough to be identified and/or researched.
