Advertisement, worded thus-- "E-S &-N (Electric) Railway Operating between Evansville, Newburg, Stephenston, Chandler and Boonville, Indiana Passenger and Freight Service Fast�Reliable�Clean Depot and Offices, Fifth Street near Main Evansville, Indiana" According to the Historic Evansville website, "The Evansville Suburban & Newburgh Railway provided passenger service to East Side suburbs and Newburgh Station. [It was] built c1907 by Harris & Shopbell, next to [the] Majestic Theater [and] replaced [the]old depot. [The] tracks extended to 4th and Cana,l along Canal to Willow, followed the railroad to Chandler [and] Boonville. [The] line [ran] east of the city and crossed Lincoln near Green River Road. Passenger service stopped 1930 and only hauled freight. Completely closed 1940s. Station razed by 1962. (http://historicevansville.com/site.php?id=esnstation)
