Description

J.B. Mesker & Son Cornice Works at the corner of Market St. and Court St. This building was constructed around 1870, but circa 1895 the H. (Henry) Schminke Company took it over. In 1916 this building was razed, and the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Coliseum (commonly known as the Coliseum) was erected on this site, and stil stands today. SEE RELATED MSS 184-0034.
