Description

Oral history interview of Ada McClurkin. Ada Louise McClurkin worked at Republic Aviation from August or September 1942 until it closed at the end of the war. She was only 22 at the time, and most of her female co-workers were older. She read blueprint and did drillling and riveting. She was in the wing fillet department. Her position was near the end of the line, by the hanger, so she could see the planes when they returned from test flights.
