Oral history interview of Robert Bogan. Robert W. Bogan was drafted into service in WWII (1943-1946). He served in the Army as a First (1st) Sergeant with the 286th Military Police Company. He served at Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN (Indiana), Fort Custer, MI (Michigan), NY (New York), and in the European Theater, specifically in Scotland, Wales, England, and France. His tour of duty involved riot duty in Detroit, landing at Utah Beach (2 weeks after D-Day), escorting Generals Patton and Eisenhower at Supreme Headquarters, and hanging 5 prisoners.
