Oral history interview of Curtis Williams. Curtis Whitson Williams enlisted in WWII (1942-1946) in the Marine Corps 11th Defense Battalion and saw action in the Pacific Theater, at New Georgia (Solomon Islands) from September 9, 1943 through February 14, 1944. He was a Corporal and acted as a rifle marksman, pistol expert, and Lt. AA Gun Crewman. He was also present at Guadacanal. He received a Good Conduct medal.
