Oral history interview of Robert Tretter. Robert L. Tretter was drafted into WWII (1942-1945) in the Army Air Corps, 474th Fighter Group, 9th Air Force, and served as a Corporal. He saw action in the European Theater, at Normandy, western France, central Europe, and the Battle of the Bulge. He received battle stars. He worked with the motor pool and served as a weapons carrier. His unit was at Buchenwald the day after it was liberated.
