Oral history interview of Lloyd Patterson. Lloyd A. Patterson enlisted in WWII (1943-1946) in the Navy, serving as Seaman First (1st) Class aboard the Merchant Ship President Monroe, and also aboard the USS Colorado. He saw action in the Pacific Theater, in New Caledonia, New Hebrides, Tarawa, the Mariana Islands, Marshall Islands, Guam, and Saipan. He was twice wounded and received 2 Purple Hearts.
