Description
Royal Neighbors float, probably for the 1916 centennial of Mt. Vernon. Royal Neighbors of America was founded in 1895 and is one of the largest women-led life insurers in the nation. Its website says that it is a fraternal benefit society and are driven by a unique mission to insure lives, support women, and serve local communities. This organization may have had some connection with the Modern Woodman of America since the float featured men with axes.
