Looking from atop the Main St. side of the Posey County Courthouse to the businesses across the steet. The cross street seen on the left is 3rd St. The buildings on Main St., from 3rd St. moving right up to and including the Rosenbaum Bros. building constructed in 1894 still stand. The largest clothing store in Posey County. The 1884 Evertson building has been razed. The two buildings on Main St. to the left of 3rd St. still stand, although their rooflines and facades have changed. The building with the hipped roof on the middle left, was the opera house, c. 1860, at 131 W. 2nd St. Since 1893 it has housed Alles Brothers Furniture. The buildings to the left of Rosenbaum Brothers is Robert Fisher's Meat Market
